P.T.A. Annual General Meeting held 24th November 2009
At the AGM of the held on 24th November 2009, the following parents were elected to serve on the P.T.A Committee: Retselisitoe Motsoeneng (Convenor), MaOxford Lerotholi, Zongile Dlangamandla, Lineo Monne, M. Motebang, Dr. Hassan and Ms. Masekhoane. Three members of the teaching staff were also elected: Mr. J.M. Muzeyi, Miss L. Pheko and Mrs L. Fernandez.
How the P.T.A. Helps the School
Over
the year, members of the P.T.A. (Parent Teacher Association),
contribute time, energy and expertise to various projects and
events. For example, past activities have included: cake sales,
mural painting, playground equipment repair, International Food
Fair, Pancake Day (click photos left and below to enlarge), Carnival,
Wheel-a-thons, movie evenings and a Family Pool Party.
A major contribution made last year was the purchase of 12 new computers
for the ICT Room. Each year, willing
helpers provide most welcome refreshments after the School Play
and at the House Swimming Gala. Easter Eggs are also provided
for every child in the school on the last day the Easter Term.
Traditionally, on the last day of Term 2, Grade
6 children hide Easter eggs around the school grounds, for the
Rising 4s to Grade 3s to hunt. Great excitement is had by all.
